The ninth installment of the TOWERECO Fusion Compilation Series is the Nippon Columbia version. In the 70's and 80's, the heyday of songs and new music, the fusion sound emerged as the city was colored by a new era and music. This album is a collection of great fusion songs from the famous Better Days label that captured that era, as well as commercials, movies and TV dramas, covers of classic Western and Japanese songs, and many other great fusion songs that came out in an era that continued like the flow of a river. The album covers Japanese fusion music that was born during the height of the Japanese session scene at the time when Roppongi nights were in full bloom, as well as fusion music from overseas that originated in Japan. From the sound sources of Nippon Columbia, Japan's venerable record company, which will celebrate its 110th anniversary in 2020, we are pleased to present a collection of songs by Katsumi Watanabe, Eri Ohno (Michael Jackson cover), Shigeharu Mukai, 24 Chome Band, Nancy Wilson (Tatsuro Yamashita cover), Steps, and four rare tracks from anime, drama, and film, including secret songs by Yuji Ohno, Mickey Yoshino, and Al Foster, which are being released for the first time on CD. The album features 30 tracks, including four rare tracks (Al Foster, Alex Blake, You, and Nobu Saito "album version") that have never been released on CD before, and secret songs by Yuji Ohno and Mickey Yoshino from anime, TV dramas, and movies. Includes commentary on each track, and each disc is over 70 minutes in length. The excitement of the sounds you heard back then will come back again. Great fusion!
