Born in London, England in 1945, he made his solo debut in 1964. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, he also worked as a vocalist for the Jeff Beck Group and the Faces. In 2002, he moved from Warner Music to J Records. In 2002, she moved from Warner Music to J Records and released "The Great American Songbook," a collection of covers of standard songs, which had been a dream of hers for a long time. It sold over 6 million copies worldwide. The Great American Songbook series has now reached its fifth release. In 2006, he released "Great Rock Classics," a collection of rock covers (#1 in the U.S.), and in 2009, "Soul Book," a collection of soul classics (#4 in the U.S.), both of which were big hits. Since then, he has consistently released albums and continues to be active. This best-of 2011 release includes 13 songs selected from the five albums in "The Great American Songbook" series, plus the new song "You'll Never Know.
