This is a good-tempered American pop album that incorporates country and folk music with plenty of jazz elements. Vocalist Rachel Price made her debut as a jazz singer at the age of 17 and has won numerous vocal awards. Her husky voice is very appealing, and she sings with a comfortable groove and vintage Americana sound. Lake Street Dive is a band formed by four talented young musicians who met at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. They are a collective that combines the jazz, country, rock, and other musical genres they have each absorbed into a superb pop sound. Vocalist Rachel Price, who made her debut as a solo jazz singer at the age of 17, has won various prestigious jazz music awards and is one of the hottest singers in the country. The other members of the band, Bridget Carney on female upright bass, Michael Calabrese on drums, and Mike Olson on trumpet, have all played on various recording sessions in Boston. was released in 2006.One of Bridget's songs won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
