Description:
The perfect balance of incandescence and restraint. The first and second Brahms concertos with the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra are also included, as well as the Bach and Haydn concertos with the sublime principal conductor. Both the CD and SACD layers are designed to be more realistic than ever before. The series with the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra, Vant's hand-picked and most powerful duo, is about to begin. The first two titles are the four Brahms recordings from 1990 and 1992! This is the sound of the duo's achievement. The orchestra, which perfectly understood Vant's intentions and responded with a brilliant response, was a superbly accomplished ensemble. In the first movement of No. 1, the rapidity of the first movement introduction and the furious climax of the development section are exactly like Vant's. The second movement turns into a world of restrained beauty. In the second movement, the world of restrained beauty is completely transformed, and the delicate weak notes in the woodwind and violin solos are very moving. The fourth movement's skillful tempo changes are the result of the duo's uniquely heartfelt performance, from the soft, loud horn theme to the climactic coda, a truly bold performance with expression swept to the extremes, all under a solid sound. In No. 2, the three-dimensionality of the first movement is astonishing. It is spacious and majestic, not chamber music-like but symphonic enough, and the space where the tones of each instrument are beautifully combined is truly pleasant. The long-lasting horn solo is also a must-hear. In the fourth movement, the second theme of the recapitulation section is sung with a sense of euphoria, the fine phrasing is perfectly in tune, and the trumpet gives a powerful yell when the moment is right, all of which make for a powerful and complete performance. The coupling is a concerto in which the principal of the North German Radio Symphony Orchestra takes the solo. The graceful sound of the modern instruments makes this Bach and Haydn a rare treat.Vant's trust in the soloist was palpable, and the orchestra played with a stretch that made you want to take a deep breath. We hope you will enjoy it with Brahms. The commentary includes a newly written manuscript by conductor Kenjiro Sakairi. King International
