Description:
The Profil label's Vandt masterpieces are now available as SACD hybrids! The Profil label's Vandt masterpiece is now available on SACD hybrid format! This is the great Bruckner live performance by maestro Günter Wandt with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. The tight rhythms of No. 6 are vibrant, and the overwhelmingly profound sound of No. 9 is heartbreaking. Please listen to the masterful performance in which Vant put his whole heart and soul into the performance in his later years. The crystallized beauty of the Adagio in No. 9 in particular has been called the best among the different performances of the same piece. The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, which has a long history and tradition in Bruckner performance, also performs with great passion, and their performance is full of flavor and song, and the music seems to come to life. The performance was full of nourishment and song, and the music seemed to come to the fore. The highly tense conducting by Wandt, who is a man of his own convictions, combined to form an exquisite balance that cannot be heard anywhere else. It is also noteworthy that Haydn's No. 76, Vant's favorite Haydn piece, performed on the same day as No. 6, is also included in the coupling. This source has been previously released on SACD and LP in limited quantities, but this is the first time it has appeared in software that can also be heard as a regular CD. It is a gem, with intelligent humor running through the clean sounding music in a lively manner. In addition to the music commentary, the commentary book includes a manuscript written by Atsuya Funaki on Munich and Wand as Bruckner cities, and by Shigeo Itakura on the detailed history of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra.
