Description:

PROFIL's masterpiece remastered by ALTUS! Sinopoli's meticulous interpretation of the late Sinopoli melts into the exquisite sound of Dresden. The rare and beautiful performance with a bonus commentary by the conductor is also included! In order to look back on the masterful performance of his later years, ALTUS has licensed the live recordings from the PROFIL label's Staatskapelle Dresden self-selected masterpieces series for a domestic release. The superb sound of the orchestra, which is praised for its smoldering silverware, combined with Sinopoli's paranoid attention to detail, and the exuberance that only a live performance can bring, make this a supreme performance. The sound quality has been remastered and further polished. The commentary includes a revival of the 2001 memorial to Sinopoli by Berlin-based music critic Takayoshi Kidokoro. The dramatic content of his writing is so dramatic that it even gives one the shivers, as he was present at Sinopoli's last concert of "Aida" and could not contain his shock. Mahler is Sinopoli's 18th favorite composer, and the session recording of the complete works with the Philharmonia Orchestra is also highly acclaimed as a masterpiece. The session recording has a kind of harsh nervousness, but this live recording with Dresden has a beautiful tone and feel, coupled with the characteristic sound of the orchestra. However, the live recording with Dresden has a beautiful tone and texture, as well as the characteristic sound of the orchestra. Banse's soprano singing is also heavenly and heartwarming. The bonus commentary with demonstration by Sinopoli is a recording of a lecture given before the concert, in which Sinopoli explains the structure of the piece in front of the audience, actually playing the orchestra, and then repeating the next commentary and so on. The booklet contains a complete description of the lecture in Japanese, a valuable feature that can only be found in the domestic edition. Please note that the CD does not include a portion of the lecture, but this is also true of the imported version. Sinopoli speaks in a soft and beautiful voice, and the way he goes on and on explaining in detail is very Sinopoli-like. King International
