Prentiss & Tuttle's first album is finally available on CD (original release: 1971). Prentiss & Tuttle's first album, released in 1971 in an independent edition of 400 copies, is a gem from the Boston folk duo of Steve Prentiss and Stephen Tuttle. The music is pure and human warmth comes through, with an acoustic sound that is reminiscent of Lambert & Nuttycombe on the West Coast, but without any ornamentation. In an era when folk and folk-rock, the flower of the 60s, were being absorbed into the rapidly growing rock business after the singer-songwriter boom of the early 70s, their music has a special resonance that seems to have extracted the beauty of the 60s music that has been lost today.
