Volume 5. --A high school student, Akiyuki, lives with his mother on a small island, Senbanto Island, surrounded by a sea of oil and mud, which became a dependency of the Southern Continental Free Zone during a war 70 years ago. His estranged father runs the town's small clinic by himself. One day, while commuting to school with his best friends Haru and Fruichi, Akiyuki is involved in an explosion. A mysterious light created by the explosion catches his arm and transforms him into a monster called Zamdo. Zamdo loses his ego and runs amok, and is met by a red-haired exotic girl named Nakiyami...
