Hans Ulrich Stapes (1909-1988) was a German composer, music educator, and recorder player who studied composition with Paul Hindemith at the Berlin University of Music (now Berlin University of the Arts). He strongly believed in the importance of social activities for music lovers through ensembles, and left many high-quality compositions for music lovers. This collection contains a total of eight pieces in three different configurations: recorder and piano, recorder and modern harpsichord, and recorder trio. A fresh fusion of ancient and modern music is depicted in clear and exquisite ensembles.
