GRAND, a three-piece band from Sweden that made its worldwide debut with a self-titled album at the end of 2022, has already completed its second album. The band was started as a result of a mutual attraction between Mathias Olofsson (Vo), who has a long career in the Swedish music industry, and Jakob Svensson (WIGELIUS), who is the guitarist and producer in this band. Having both grown up with roots in many 80's AOR/Melodic Rock bands such as TOTO, FOREIGNER, and GIANT, the two have built on those influences to create a work that focuses on melody.The resulting debut album was well received by fans around the world as a high-quality work that blended the transparency and melancholy melodies that only a Scandinavian band can produce. The response to the previous album prompted the duo to begin work on their next album as soon as possible after the release of their debut album. While performing live intermittently around their hometown in Sweden, the duo steadily worked behind the scenes to compose the music for their second album. In the spring of 2023, the band announced to their fans through social networking sites that they had started recording their second album. After that, the band regularly reported that the recording process was progressing smoothly. Finally, the album was completed, and it will be unveiled in early 2024.
