Formed in 2000, the band burst onto the rock scene with their debut single "Keep Believin'," which was met with critical acclaim and earned The Answer the award for Best New Band at that year's Classic Rock Awards. The band's anthemic songs, such as "Under the Sky" and "Come Follow Me," captivated rock fans everywhere, and their first album, "Rise," sold over 125,000 copies worldwide. This remarkable debut achievement led the band to release a strong second album, Everyday Demons, three years later. The band then cemented their reputation as a phenomenal live band and rock hopeful with a two-year stint on The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, and AC/DC's 2008 Black Ice Tour, which took them to major venues around the world.After a period of vigorous activity, the band went on hiatus following the release of their sixth album, "Solas," in 2016. After seven long years, The Answer made its long-awaited return, and in 2020, when management asked the band to try writing songs again, the band began sharing new ideas that felt exciting, fresh, and appropriate, and gradually returned to their roots once more The band gradually picked up their pace, as if they were back to basics once again. Cormac Neeson said, "After six albums and a lot of traveling, we felt we needed to step away from it all and reset. It wasn't an easy decision, but looking back it was probably the best decision we ever made. We're back and we're ready to go! he says.The Sundowners was produced by Dan Weller, an up-and-coming British rock producer who has worked with Enter Shikari and Very Tomorrow. Frontman Cormac Neeson, guitarist Paul Mahone, bassist Micky Waters, and drummer James Heatley return with the ultimate album, a return to their roots with a sophisticated sound and great songs, infused with unrelenting passion that only four members can deliver.
