Jonathan Nott's meticulously constructed Bruckner combines heavenly sounds with sensual and dense sounds. The Tokyo Symphony Orchestra has been performing Bruckner under the tutelage of Hubert Soudant and others, and this performance is an extension of that tradition, but with an even denser and more thrilling sound.
