Bully, a band formed in Nashville in 2013 by Alicia Bognanno. Lucky For You, her fourth album in three years, produced with producer JT Daly, and released on Sub Pop In June 2023, Alicia Bognanno, aka Bully, will release her new album, Lucky For You, on Sub Pop The 10-track album was recorded in 2022 with producer JT Daly at MMK Studios and Alicia's home in Nashville, and mastered by Joe LaPorta of Sterling Sound. Lucky For You, Bully's fourth album, is the band's most robust to date. It is about personal pain and the universal struggle to exist, learn, and move forward, all expressed through Bognanno's unwavering sense of melody and widescreen sound. Production began with Bognanno bringing a demo in progress to JT to see if he could take it in a creative direction."Recording with JT was great. Because he is a genuine fan and wanted to emphasize the actual good parts of my writing, not change it," Bognanno says. Thus, the album took seven months to produce, the longest preparation time of any Bully record to date.
