The new Toronto indie rock band Kiwi JR. Third album, "Chopper," produced by Dan Bochner (Wolf Parade, Arcades Fire), is released. Toronto indie rock band Kiwi Jr. will release their third album, Chopper, on Sub Pop. Produced by Dan Boeckner, co-founder of Wolf Parade and current member of Arcade Fire, the first single from the album is "Night Vision, Kiwi Jr. consists of Jeremy Gaudet (Vo/G), Brohan Moore (Dr), Mike Walker (Ba), and Brian Murphy (G). The band moved from their hometown of Charlottetown to Toronto to get their act together, and will release their debut album, Football Money, in 2019 on Canada's Mint Records.In 2021, the band released their second album, Cooler Returns, their first for Sub Pop. The album was produced by the band itself and recorded by Graham Walsh (METZ, Bully). The band's first release on Sub Pop, "Cooler Returns" was produced by the band itself and recorded by Graham Walsh (METZ, Bully), and "rarely do hi-fi and lo-fi shine so harmoniously together.
