Selected and supervised by Daisuke Kuroda, Japan's proud funk/soul DJ. Born in Portland, Jamaica in September 1943 and passed away in Miami in January 2015, his name is firmly etched in the music history of Miami. In the 1960s, he was a deejay and producer at Studio One, and later worked with Bob Marley & the late Bob Marley. Later, as co-writer of "Buffalo Soldier" by Bob Marley & The Wailers. King Sporty's work spanned multiple genres as well as countries, and his footwork was light, leaving behind important work in each region and genre.Recently, his own Condoco label has been reissued by the UK reissue label Emotional Rescue, and his own works released in the 1970s under his own name are also being reissued on CD.
