The album also featured a number of songs by Sam Cooke and Bobby Bland, including "Down Home Blues," one of the most popular blues songs of the 1980s, written by George Jackson and later covered by Etta James, and "Cheatin' in the Next Room," also penned by George Jackson, which reached No. 19 on the R&B charts. The album is full of superb Southern Soul, featuring the wonderful voice of the lead singer in the lineage of Sam Cooke - Bobby Bland. Includes commentary and original jacket.
