The members, who were exposed to ZARD's works while taking lessons in preparation for their debut, were discovered by producer Daisuki Nagato, the founder of Being Group and ZARD's producer, as "the people who will pass on ZARD's works to future generations". The "Z" in "ZARD" was reversed and the group was named "SARDUNDERGROUND" and started their activities in 2019. They debuted with a tribute album "ZARD tibute" on September 18 of the same year, and have released numerous ZARD cover songs as well as original songs with unpublished lyrics by Sensui Sakai, continuing "ZARD's eternal standard numbers" into the 2021 era. Since 2021, they have been actively producing original music with lyrics by Tomoa Jinno, and continue to refine their live performances.Their sincere and ever-growing image as artists has attracted support from many of ZARD's real generation as well as the younger generation like them, and their YouTube channel has over 100,000 registered users and their TikTok followers are steadily increasing from 36,000! This album, the first release of the 5th anniversary year, is the best selection of "ZARD tribute," including 8 songs that were covered on her debut and re-recorded in a form close to the original arrangement, as well as 2 songs that were covered for the first time!
