Tres Leches, a new project from Hiatus Cayote! His debut album of self-covered music is now available on Brainfeeder! HIATAS CAYOTE launches a new project! Bassist Paul Bender and keyboardist Simon Mayvin, along with Alejandro Silentjay Abapo, a contributor since the band's early days, have formed the romantic minstrel trio Tres Leches to release their debut album, The Smooth Sounds of Tres Leches, LHCC Mart Vol. 1" was released on Brainfeeder. Recorded and mixed in a hotel room on an off-day during a tour of North America, Tres Leches dimmed the lights in the room and reinterpreted some of Hiatus Cayote's best-known songs, including "Get Sun," "Red Room," "Make Friends," and "Nakamarra," for this self-cover album. This is a selfcover album. In a different way from the original songs, the performances stir passion, stimulate the senses, and calm the mind. Originally conceived as the soundtrack to a fictional supermarket for Hiatus Cayote's Love Heart Cheat Code, the sensual and sexy arrangements have come into their own. HIATAS CAILLOTTE attracts music fans around the world with its one-of-a-kind sound that moves freely between neo-soul, jazz, hip-hop, and progressive R&B.Since its formation in 2011, the band has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and has been sampled by Kendrick Lamar, Anderson Park, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and many others, thanks to vocalist Ney Palm's overwhelming vocal ability and personality, and the ever-changing sound of the band, all of whom are accomplished musicians, They have been at the forefront of contemporary black music. Their playful spirit and well-honed musicianship fused together in the album "Love Heart Cheat Code" released in 2012, and the band's unity that has been built up since the beginning of their career reached new heights. The band's solo tour of Japan was a huge success in both Tokyo and Osaka, showing that they are still going strong with their impressive stage presence. The magical sense of unity as a band continues to evolve. The majority of this record was made while on tour with Hiatus Cayote. In dressing rooms and hotels, the three of us would borrow the front-of-house engineer's portable speakers, open someone's laptop, and start working! Most of the sounds were plug-ins, but sometimes we pulled sounds from a Yamaha Reface or a Korg Kronos. To all my loved ones - tonight is the night to give yourself to Tres Leches. - Tres Leches
