Thom Yorke and Mark Pritchard have released a collaborative album "TALL TALES" on Warp Records! Radiohead and The Smile frontman Thom Yorke and pioneering producer Mark Pritchard release their debut album as a duo, Tall Tales, on Warp Records. The album marks the duo's second collaboration, following the critically acclaimed "Beautiful People" from Mark Pritchard's album "Under The Sun," released in 2016 on Warp Records, and Thom Yorke's first release on Warp Records. This will be Thom Yorke's first release on Warp Records. Mark Pritchard is a well-known figure in electronic music, known for projects such as Reload, Link, and Global Communication, the unit with Thom Middleton that produced the ambient techno masterpiece "76:14. In 2011, he released two remixes of Radiohead's "Bloom," and has also remixed for Aphex Twin, Depeche Mode, PJ Harvey, Slowdive, and others, developing a wide variety of styles and under various names. On this album, Mark Pritchard makes full use of old equipment he unearthed from synthesizer archives to create unpredictable and experimental music, while Thom Yorke delivers expansive and ethereal vocals and introspective, dark storytelling. Jonathan Zawada, who was in charge of the visual aspect of this work, is the third member of the duo. His unique artwork, which blends analog and digital technology, adds depth to the world of the work. He also created the album artwork for this album, and his music videos for "Back In The Game" and "This Conversation Is Missing Your Voice" form part of a feature-length film that has been conceived in parallel with the music over the past few years. His hyper-realistic visual world is a world of the imagination. His hyper-real visual world blurs the boundaries between organic elements and the digital, contrasting disturbing landscapes of natural beauty with a dystopian, ruthless aesthetic. During the lockdown, Mark sent me a massive MP3 file full of ideas. There was a lot of great stuff in there, and I immediately thought, "I need to put this down and work on it, even if I have to put down what I'm working on now. From the moment I put on my headphones and started searching for vocals, words, and sounds, I strongly felt that I had never been in a place like this before. And as the production progressed, I felt this more and more as I watched Jonathan freely and intuitively shape his ideas for the video and artwork. It was a crazy experience and I feel lucky to have been a part of it. I'm looking forward to finally getting this out into the world. Tall Tales" is a very important work for me.
