Nagoya-based electronic music producer Food Matsuri a.k.a foodman has been voted best of the year by Pitchfork, FACT Magazine, Tiny Mix Tapes, and other international media, and has been featured on Unsound, Boiler Room, and Low End Theory, He has also been featured at Unsound, Boiler Room, Low End Theory, and other important parties in the scene, and is now signed to Hyperdub, the most important label in left field music, and has released his latest album "Yasuragi Land". As an artist, he was greatly influenced by the rise of juke and footwork in the early 2010s, which influenced his subsequent musical formation. The mechanical rhythms and rustic melodies of "Food Court" are paired with the cute wooden flute melody of "Galley Cafe" and micro-edited wooden drums on "Galley Cafe. Two of the vocal tracks, Taigen's "Michi No Eki" paints a casual, digital picture of complex rock that sounds like a Magma song, while "Sanbashi ft. Cotto Center" is reminiscent of '80s R&B. The album-closing "Minsyuku" features a guitar that sounds like it was borrowed from a Daft Punk track and woven into a seamless tangle of drums.
