Sekirika, who will celebrate the 15th anniversary of her debut in 2025, chose the path of independence. She has realized that what excites her the most is when she is a wild flower, rooted in the mud and battered by rain and storms, but still trying to see the sky. The title of Sekitori's first independent CD, NEW ALBUM "Bad Luck", is exactly the title of her current mindset. The title track, "Warunai" begins with the words, "Do you like you, I like me, I used to hate you, but now it's not so bad. In fact, none of us knows if we are at our best or our worst. But if you feel "not so bad," then you are probably right where you are. There is no magic, no buzz. There are songs here that can only be sung by Sekitori, who has just been moving forward step by step. It is also refreshing to see that this album mainly takes an approach from the context of alternative and rock music, in addition to the folk and acoustic sounds of the past. (C)RS
