She has overcome the Cultural Revolution and forged a new path. Her music is peaceful, which is unimaginable from such a half life. Her Bach performances, including the Golteberg Variations, which are her specialty, are created from her precise compositional skills and refined expressiveness, and the music is pure and resonant to the listener's heart. This time it is the English Suite, one of Bach's most famous dance suites, along with the French Suite and Partita. The six works share a common feature that they always include four pieces, Armand, Courant, Sarabande, and Gigue, and that the first piece is a long prelude.This project is not only the conclusion of Xu Xiaomei's series of Bach recordings, but also a recording that marks a milestone in her career, as it is the culmination of years of meticulous preparation and Xu Xiaomei's careful attention to the music.
