Uli Johannes Kiekbusch, a unique ensemble pianist, composer, and teacher who has had a long and productive career wandering between composition and "improvisation," and Günder Baby Zommer, one of the leading drummers and percussionists of contemporary European jazz. They have been playing together for nearly 20 years, and Kiekbusch's compositions have come to be noticed for their pure improvisation, and they continue to pursue their passion for new music as musicians and researchers in various formations with flutist Katarina Zomer, who is active in various artistic projects as a performing artist, visual artist, literary artist, etc. The quartet that has teamed up with violist and composer Laura Strobl is the "Baby Zomer Quixet.The new album "Quietude Fragile" is based on a work composed by Kiekbusch, interspersed with works of improvisation (a combination of the words "composition" and "improvisation") by each member. The program is based on Kiekbusch's compositions, interspersed with works by each member's improvisations, creating a new creative space that wanders between progressive free jazz and the latest classical music, while correlating the two.
