The debut album by the Flatres Trio, formed in 2012 by Armenia's Hylapet Arakelian (born in Yerevan in 1991), Russia's Fyodor Rudin (born in Moscow in 1994), and Latvia's Rudolfus Vanks (born in Riga in 1984). The word "Fratres" is Latin for "brothers." The trio has previously won several prizes, including the second prize at the 2013 ILZAC International Chamber Music Competition. On this album, the trio performs familiar works from Tchaikovsky to Gershwin and Piazzolla with saxophone, violin, and piano in a brilliant arrangement. Tokyo M-Plus
