European Brass Ensemble debut led by former Berlin Philharmonic player Thomas Clameau! The European Brass Ensemble was founded by Thomas Clameau, a former trumpet player with the Berlin Philharmonic and in recent years has been active as a conductor of brass ensembles and other ensembles. Characteristically, it is a multinational ensemble composed of skilled wind instrumentalists from all over the world. James Morrison, Austria's national trumpet player and multi-instrumentalist, composed "Melk Abbey Fanfare" for the famous Melk Abbey in Austria, which is a magnificent and dynamic masterpiece (he also plays piccolo trumpet). Wagner's "Love's Death" from "Tristan und Isolde" is a quiet and tender piece of music. The album also includes "Romeo and Juliet" and "Carmen," which showcases the best of brass band music.
