Saigon Soul Revival is the long-awaited second album by Saigon Supersound, a band that mixes the nostalgia and trad of Vietnamese music with rock, psychedelic, dub, rare groove, and more! Saigon Soul Revival is a five-piece band based in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), South Vietnam, which started in 2016 with the aim of reviving the mood of Vietnamese pop music from the good old days before the Vietnam War and making its existence widely known at home and abroad. This is the second album by the five-piece band based in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), South Vietnam. The album was produced by Jan Hagenkoter, the organizer of the "Saigon Supersound" compilation. The soulful, psychedelic, slow and unique shimmering lead seangle M1 "Ai Thật Long Yeu Ai" was also remixed by Nicodemus and became a hot topic on the floor. The beautiful sound of the folk instrument Dang Chain was created by Nguyen Thi Hai Phuong, a great master of traditional Vietnamese music who has also left works for the prestigious world music label "Ocora".The album skillfully mixes old-time melodies and tones lost due to the Vietnam War with ongoing rock, funk, Latin, dub, and mood songs to create a one-of-a-kind modern-vintage sound world.
