These recordings, which have long been difficult to obtain, are a valuable series that systematically covers the Baroque music of Latin America, which developed its own musical language while being culturally influenced by Spain across the Atlantic. The result of Garrido's years of research and excavation in archives and churches throughout Latin America and his creative collaboration with Ensemble Elima, these recordings are highly regarded as a pioneering achievement that has opened new horizons in the history of Baroque music.
