Beginning with her mid-1950s instrumental recordings as the Lillian Briggs Orchestra, discovered by Alan Freed, and continuing with her bouncy, brilliant voice as a singer in rhythm & blues, rock & roll, and later pop and jazz standards, The album includes 32 songs from 1955 to 1961 that showcase the diversity of styles of this unique female singer, from her original vocal style of rhythm & blues and rock & roll to her later pop, jazz standards, and songs with a twist. The 36-page color booklet includes a biography by Bill Dahl and many rare photos.
