Description:
Guy's superb technique is brilliant! The new recording by French virtuoso Guy, whose music is always beautiful and fluid, is Debussy and Muraille. Guy, who has been active in Beethoven performances for many years, is also a Muraille specialist, having premiered Muraille's first two piano concertos, as well as the "Memorial" and "Reappearance" included in this recording. Muraille was greatly influenced by Debussy, and Beethoven, Muraille, and Debussy all had one thing in common: they revolutionized musical writing. Debussy's work is brilliant in its ability to capture the ever-changing colors of the moment. The performance is dreamlike and beautiful, but at the same time, it has a mysterious calmness to it. Muraille's "Memorial" was written after Muraille visited the Holocaust Museum. ≪The "Re-Gush" is a work focusing on "fluidity," modeled after the fountain at Liszt's Villa Este, but it is quite different from the world of Liszt's Villa Este. The "Fluidity" of Guy's superb technique throughout the entire piece makes for a truly beautiful performance. King International
