The consistent style and depth of musicality of the Bachfoklur organ performance by Pierlot & Ricercar is also a must-see. The album includes organ works performed by Belgian organist Bernard Foklur. The cantatas here were written during the Weimar and Leipzig periods and show Bach's evolution over that decade. 21 is a major work from his early years, consisting of 11 pieces in two parts. It is a masterpiece that was performed many times during Bach's lifetime. No. 76 was premiered the week after BWV 75, "Let the Poor Be Feasted," his first work after his arrival at the Thomas cantor's office in Leipzig. It is impressive for its gorgeous beginning with the trumpet.In the coupling organ works, you can fully enjoy the superb technique and sensitivity of Bernard Foklur, one of the best organists of our time, who has recorded the complete organ works of both Bach and Buxtehude, and has a wealth of knowledge and skill.
