Jacques Maugier, who continues to lead the French trombone world with his teacher, the legendary Michel Becquet, performs four works for trombone and brass band or brass ensemble, all of which are remarkable works! The Spanish composer Ferrer Ferrán (1966-), famous for his brass band works such as "The Passion of the Christ" and "Pinocchio," presents "Tibone and Jack" in three movements, dedicated to Jacques Morger, as the title suggests. A work on a scale that is reminiscent of Hollywood music, it is an excellent addition to the trombonist's new repertoire. Two works by Jean-Michel Dufay (1932-), a pupil of the famous teacher Nadia Boulanger and second prize winner of the Grand Prix de Rome in 1952, and a work full of romanticism by the French composer Daniel Bimbi (1971-) are also not to be missed!
