The 23rd installment of the box set series, which is the signature of the independent label of Diapason, a world-class classical music magazine in France, is a collection of masterpieces by Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921), who will celebrate the 100th anniversary of his death in 2021. Anniversary Box! The Saint-Saëns Anniversary Box from Diapason includes "Organ", "Violin Concerto No. 3", five "Piano Concertos", "Samson and Dalila" to "Carnival of the Animals", chamber music, instrumental works including piano, and vocal works. The album also includes a number of masterpieces (approximately 14 hours and 10 minutes), including transcriptions by Saint-Saëns and other composers. The recordings, selected by François Rolland, artistic director of Diapason, are more "French" than those in the previous box series.The Diapason box also includes Saint-Saëns' own piano performances (1904 and 1919) to add to the rich lineup of French and other famous performers of the past.
