This is the first reissue of Steve Beresford's "Dancing the Line," originally released on nato in 1985, a classic album by the improviser Steve Beresford that was featured on the Music From Memory compilation. This album combines ambient pop music with elements of synth funk and experimental music, and is released by Wewantsounds, a rare sound source discovery company, in collaboration with nato. Steve Beresford is a British musician, composer, and arranger.Released only in France at the time and rediscovered in recent years, "Dancing the Line" features the ethereal pop A1 "Tendance," B3 "Comfortable Gestures," "Uneven Paths," the funky track A2 "Sand from a Desert," The 12 tracks include B1 "Altitude," the beautiful piano ballad A4 "Lover of Paradox," B6 "Horse Tail" featuring David Toop's flute, and A5 "Snap" featuring Alan Hacker's clarinet. This is a beautiful soundscape inspired by the atelier of fashion designer Anne Marie Beretta. The gorgeous 4-page insert includes the original gatefold artwork and liner notes by nato's Jean Rochard.
