Born in 1985, Tuchard is a remarkable musician who studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris and received 9 awards for composition and improvisation at the Sorbonne University (Paris 4 University). Chopin, Liszt, and Debussy are the most famous composers of the "12 Exercises," but Tuchard has composed them from his own unique perspective while preserving the traditional form left by the great composers. Like the great composers, he has not only created works with a high level of artistry that can stand alone as concert etudes, but each piece is titled and each piece has its own theme. It is also intriguing that each piece is dedicated to a great composer and performer.From Crumb's masterpiece "Macrocosmos," which belongs to the lineage of American piano music by Ives, Powell, and Cage, to Messiaen's "Twenty Gazes on the Infant Jesus," which Tuchard loves, to the lyrical darkness of the composer and pianist Greff, each work evokes sounded his respect and love for the great musician. It is a pleasure to hear these works performed by David Cadouche, Philippe Ata, Orlan Bass, Flore Marlin, Camille Belin, and Guillaume Sidier, virtuoso musicians who are well suited to play these works.
