Formed in 1973, DUKE JUPITER is a (late melodic hard) rock band from Rochester, NY, that evolved from rock/R&B based Southern rock featuring dual lead guitars, and in 13 years of activity, has played with ZZ TOP, STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, BOB In 13 years of activity, the band has played with many big names such as ZZ TOP, STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, BOB SEEGER, ROBERT PALMER, TOTO, SEA LEVEL, FOREIGNER, and many more. SWEET CHEEKS":: Formerly with the ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND. Produced by CHUCK LEAVELL (ex-ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND～SEA LEVEL), this is the first album in 1978. Recorded at CAPRICORN STUDIOS in Macon, Georgia, it features the horn section from MUSCLE SHOALS HORNS ~ THE FAME GANG.JAI JOHANNY JOHANSON (ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND - SEA LEVEL) on congas and RANDALL BRAMBLETT (also of SEA LEVEL) on saxophone added a little color to each track. The result is a masterpiece with a classy rock sound and a strong Southern influence. TASTE THE NIGHT":. This is the second album produced by GLEN KOLOTKIN, the famous engineer who worked with SANTANA, JANIS JOPLIN, JOURNEY, BARBARA STREISAND, and others. The groovin' title track, "Taste The Night," was recorded in New York and features a more urban sound and female backing vocals. It is a hidden masterpiece, filled with the sweet feeling of the 70's, which is also common to AOR.
