A Fantasy of Scotland by a superb ensemble of performers Caledonia is said to refer to the northern part of the island of Great Britain, in other words, Scotland. This is a collection of three masterpieces based on the local customs. The surprise is the superb musicianship. Mendelssohn's "Fingal's Cave" was performed by the Cleveland Orchestra conducted by Sell, the Scottish Symphony by Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic, and Bruch's concerto work "Scottish Fantasy" was performed solo by Oistrakh. It is so fascinating that I almost fainted from the sheer beauty and virtuosity of the performances. King International
