The performances are by fellow Estonian-born conductor Olaly Ertz and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, which has long been an advocate of this composer. Compelling and focused performances are given in the recorded "Phantasma," "De Profundis," and Symphony No. 10, "Aeris," a grand drama of shifting forces and relationships written for horn quartet and orchestra. The symphony, in four interconnected movements, features the German Hornsound, a group formed in 2009 by four horn players. Each movement represents a different development between the soloist ensemble and the orchestra."Sometimes the motifs of the soloists spread like memes to the orchestra, which begin to change and gradually take on a life of their own..." said Tour.
