It is an expression of love for the work of Aznavour, a great poet who has left an everlasting mark on French pop. A prolific artist, Aznavour produced 51 albums in French and 42 in foreign languages, singing on stages around the world. Camille Thomas was born in Paris and began playing the cello at the age of 4. She quickly showed great talent, receiving serious instruction from the famous teacher Marcel Bardon, and then studying at the Hans Eisler University of Music in Berlin and the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar.In 2014, she won the first prize in a competition organized by the European Broadcasting Union and the best newcomer award of the Victoires de la Musique Classique in France. With her charismatic performances, she brings to people a passion for life and the wonder and excitement of classical music. He is co-conducted by the young Armenian conductor Sergei Smuvachan and the Armenian National Symphony Orchestra. A portion of the proceeds from the album will be donated to refugees in Nagorno-Karabakh through the Aznavour Foundation. (UNIVERSAL MUSIC/IMS)
