Invited to perform a recital at this opera house as one of its youngest singers ever, Lisette has a special connection to the venue, stating, "The Met is my second home." Accompanied by pianist James Bayleu, the album features a program including highlights from roles she has performed at the Met, various art songs, and lighthearted pieces from operettas and musicals. Metropolitan Opera General Manager Peter Gelb, who invited Riese, vouches for her, stating she possesses "the greatest Wagnerian talent since Birgit Nilsson and Kirsten Flagstad.
