With a hip-hop background, grooveman Spot and Sauce 81 have expanded their "black beat/science" to house, breakbeat, and techno, and have created a soul music project called 77 KARAT GOLD. This is a limited edition deadstock of the original 7inch that couples two vinyl-only TRK tracks released in 2015 by 77 KARAT GOLD. Side-A features a DJ-friendly long edit version of "What Does It Take To Win Your Oooh" from the album "WANNAFUNKWITU". The rhythm machine funk groove with clavi, wah, thick and supple bass, and a lively guitar riff is warmly intertwined with the warm and cheerful soul vocals of Sauce 81, and the rhythm machine soul/funk world of Sly, Shuggie Otis, and others. Sly and Shuggie Otis. It is a song that sounds fresh and new, and seems to have pioneered the SSW/soul sound of the Stones Throw area and others of today. The B-Side features "Sanctified Pussy," which is not included on the album. The bouncy beat in the manner of 80's electro-funk is intertwined with bass, cutting guitar, and mellow funky keyboards, and Sauce 81's faint soul vocals are intertwined with the vocoder to create a glossy world of electric funk.
