This is the latest work by Izumi Hirakawa, a female musician living in Kitami, Hokkaido. Three years have passed since her last album, "mother water" (10EB-117/10inchLP 2,800 yen + tax), was released on analog vinyl, and she has switched her main instruments, learning the violin, piano, and flute from scratch, and has once again produced a one-woman, multi-recording album. The production process is the same as in the previous work, but the density of the music is in a completely different dimension. Even the singing voice is as glamorous as if she were a completely different person. Although it has the same initiality as the first album, the quality is completely different, and there is a deepening of the music that is in inverse proportion to the initiality of the instrumental performance. It creates an imposing musical world reminiscent of the later work of the former Pango, Metamorphosis Kirin, Luna Park Ensemble, and their members, and this album is thick with the kind of wispy purity that was present in the Japanese underground, acid folk, and punk of the 80s, If played blind, it would sound like a treasured 80s self-produced album, including its sound texture.Like the previous album, this one has a special handmade jacket, with a kraft case wrapped in a different kind of kraft, and further bound with coated paper printed with the kraft. In recent years, she has been supporting Ikuro Takahashi's live performances on violin and other instruments, and we can expect great things from her in the future.
