Oh no, I love it. This is Marielle and Jos' third album. The songs are free from any tension, and the piano is swinging and vibrant...this is an ideal jazz vocal album. I am sure that everyone who listens to this album will find it familiar. As many of you know, Marielle and Jos are a Dutch couple. They are as close as one could ask for in a personal or musical relationship. They love to sing in a natural way! The 13 songs warmly convey this feeling of "I just love to sing! Starting with M1 "Everything I've got," which is a mixture of samba and swing, all the songs are wonderful, but the slow-tempo M2 "What a wonderful world" is Satchmo's masterpiece that makes you listen as if he were telling a story. M5 "Can't we be friends", a small standard, M8 "The frim fram sauce" and M10 "I'm old fashioned", full of jive. The beauty of the piano in your favorite Jobim song, M11 "Dindi"...etc.Mariel, and Jos's typical sense of style, keeps coming up with more and more hilarious songs (and cute jackets!). This reminded me of the time when he came to Japan to shop at the CD store where we work, and we were enjoying our time together, looking at the shelves and talking about how many Oscar Petersons there were and how much Anne Burton was in the store.
