Dream Theater's 13th official bootleg is a demo of their masterpiece and progressive metal classic "Images and Words"! Dream Theater, which will make its first visit to Japan in five years as the headliner of on August 14, has been periodically releasing its treasured live, demo, and studio outtakes as official bootlegs in the "Lost Not Forgotten Archives" (=Lost Not Forgotten Sound Source Collection) series. The thirteenth in the series is a 2-CD demo set of their masterpiece second album "Images and Words" from 1992, which catapulted the band to international fame. This collection includes instrumental demos, demos made after the band moved to the ATCO label, and pre-production materials just before the recording of the album. One of the rarities of this collection, which differs from the usual demo collection, is the inclusion of audition recordings of vocalists other than James Labrie, who will be the vocalist on this album. The album contains many valuable sound recordings that provide insight into the process of finding the ideal frontman and creating a masterpiece.Once released in limited production on his own Ytsejam Records label, it is now being reissued in a long-awaited reissue with the latest mastering and new artwork.
