In celebration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth in 2020, this CD features some of his favorite piano works, including "Moonlight," "Pathetique," and "Turkish March." Martin Stadtfeldt began playing piano at age 6 and gave his first recital at age 9. In 2004, his "Gortberg Variations" topped the German classical CD album charts, and he continues to make rapid progress. In recent years, he has also made a splash with his Romantic works, and this album commemorates the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth in 2020 with a selection of his favorite Beethoven piano works, including "Moonlight," "Pathetique," and "Turkish March. Also featured are his own arrangements of melodies from the "Hero" and "Countryside" symphonies, as well as a fantasy he created from a draft. The pieces were created in close cooperation with the Bonn Beethoven House for the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth.It is full of serenity and tenderness, with Stadtfeldt's crisp percussion, warm tone, and emotional expression that makes every inch of the melody sing to its fullest.
