Ireland's answer to Bon Iver! BBC Folk Award-winning technical band Lankum releases their latest album! Lankum, a talented four-piece folk band from Dublin, Ireland, won the "Best Group Award" in 2018 at BBCRadio2's FolkAwards (a music award started in 2000 to promote awareness of folk music and celebrate its achievements). Their style, which incorporates influences from a wide range of genres from current alternative folk to krautrock, ambient, and psychedelic, with good old British trad/Irish folk as represented by Fairport Convention and Pentangle, has been described as " The group is being touted as "the most unique and innovative group Ireland has produced in recent decades. This album is two years after their first album "Between The Earth And Sky" (2017), which was their first album with Rough Trade, and like their previous album, it makes full use of traditional folk instruments such as the Irian Pipes, English Concertina, and Tin Whistle. The percussion elements, rhythms, and overall sound of the album have evolved in a more active manner while making full use of traditional folk instruments such as the Irian Pipes, English Concertina, and Tin Whistle.
