The sixth album "Daemon" by the living legend of black metal MAYHEM, MAYHEM was formed in Norway in 1984 by Euronymous, Necrobutcher, and Manheim, a notorious black metal band. In the early 90's, Norwegian black metal shook the world with their extreme actions other than their music, such as Satanism, church arson, suicides, and murders. MAYHEM, who played a dark role at the center of this movement, has been active at the forefront, winning fanatical fans with their vicious and complex sound, despite their tragic past and scars. From "Deathcrush" (1987), which introduced the world to black metal, to "EsotericWarfare" (2014), the band has been constantly challenging itself as an order of its own and the progenitor of the genre throughout its 35-year career. This album was not written by one member of the band, but rather by all of them, with all the ideas they all had. The main reason for this is that there was not enough time, and Teloch is not sure if this is true or not, saying that they "had to do it" because they had already signed an album tour before starting work on the new album. However, the album was recorded over a period of three months in several cities in Sweden, Holland, and Norway, and the results are astonishing.As MAYHEM enthusiasts know, Mayhem has never released an album that sounds the same. We're trying new things to make this album as groundbreaking as our previous albums." The new release comes at a time when the band is once again in the spotlight, as they are featured alongside BURZUM in Jonas Akerlund's "Lords of Chaos," a film about the early Norwegian black metal scene (with music by Sigur Ros, no surprise there). Mayhem has undergone a new change and presents us with the next hell, "Daemon".
