The latest film directed by Alfonso Cuarón, "ROMA," was nominated for 10 Academy Awards at the 91st Academy Awards announced on January 22. This semi-autobiographical film, which depicts the days of a middle-class family in Mexico in the 1970s, is said to be the director's semi-autobiographical film, and received a total of 10 nominations, including Best Picture, Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Original Screenplay, Foreign Language Film, Cinematography, Art Direction, Sound Editing, and Sound Recording. The film was the most nominated film along with "Her Majesty's Favorite". This film is the result of director Alfonso Cuarón's concept of asking his favorite artists to create a song inspired by the film "ROMA," and he called upon artists from a wide range of genres.All songs were newly recorded for this album, including Beck's "Tarantula" (a cover of a 1982 song by 4AD artist = Colourbox) and Patti Smith's "Wing" (a self-cover of a song from her 1996 album "Gone Again"), Artists from all over the world participated in the project. The album is not only a soundtrack for the movie, but also a compilation album with very gorgeous contents.
