Description:
Vampire Weekend, a Grammy Award-winning multi-rock band, has released three albums since its debut in 2006, the second and third of which debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. charts for the first time ever for an indie band. Vampire Weekend, a Grammy-winning multi-rock band that has released three albums since its debut in 2006, the second and third of which were the first two in a row to debut at No. 1 on the U.S. charts, has released a new album, "Father of the Bride," its fourth album in six years. In addition, two new songs, "Sunflower feat. Steve Lacy" and "Big Blue," have been newly distributed following the release of "Harmony Hall" and "2021," the first new songs in six years, in January of this year. Like "Harmony Hall" and "2021," the two newly released songs were produced by frontman-Ezra Koenig and longtime collaborator Ariel Rechtscheid.Sunflower" features Steve Lacy, guitarist for the mellow soul band "The Internet," which recently enjoyed a successful solo tour of Japan, and is a song with an impressive unison melody of vocals and bass line, and their typical light rhythm. The song "Big Blue," on the other hand, is a mellow, acoustic-based song of less than two minutes, produced by Ezra, Ariel, and DJ Dahi, a hip-hop producer who has worked with Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Vampire Weekend has been silent for a long time since finishing the tour for their third album "Modern Vampires of the City" in 2014. The long-awaited new release comes just as fans' anticipation for the upcoming release of their new album was rising after their appearance on the Green Stage at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL last year. The song is a refreshing song with a sense of happiness. The music video featuring cameo appearances by actor Jonah Hill and Danielle Heim, a member of the three sister band "Heim," also attracted attention. The simultaneously released "2021" also drew attention in Japan and abroad for its use of a sample from Haruomi Hosono's 1980's song "Talking".
