SHIFT (BAD HOMBRE II)" is a daring, captivating, and diverse musical adventure, a magnificent masterpiece at last! Antonio Sanchez is one of the greatest jazz drummers of our time. Born in Mexico and currently based in New York City, he has been featured by such greats as Gary Burton, Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, and Charlie Haden, and has been a member of the Pat Metheny Group, working with Pat Metheny on albums and tours since 2002. He has also worked with Pat Metheny on albums and tours since 2002 as a member of the Pat Metheny Group.In 2014, Sanchez also made headlines for his work on the soundtrack score for Alejandro González Iñárritu's latest film, the Academy Award-winning "Birdman or the Unexpected Miracle of Ignorance". Sanchez himself describes his solo work released in 2017 as "an unprecedented experimental project. The album "BAD HOMBRE" was released in 2017. The Grammy-nominated album is an aggressive, multi-recorded work in which Sanchez handles everything himself, layering electronic motifs and voices over drum solos. (1/2)
