Beethoven (1770-1827)

Description:

The Ebène String Quartet, the next generation of quartets that is taking the world's chamber music scene by storm, is the first installment of "Beethoven Around the World," a worldwide project for the 250th anniversary year of Beethoven's birth in 2020! In 2014, Carnegie Hall in New York proposed that the Ebène perform the complete works of Beethoven: String Quartet in 2020. Based on this proposal, the members of "Ebène" pondered over what they could do and what it would mean to perform Beethoven in this day and age. As a result, they decided to literally travel around the world performing Beethoven's music, from regions where classical music is popular to those where it is not, and to share Beethoven's music with the people of the world, with its message and universality that transcends regional, generational, and cultural differences, celebrating the sublime love of humanity with unparalleled artistry. Beethoven Around the World" is a groundbreaking project that will perform Beethoven's music in countries all over the world and share it with the people of the world. From April 2019 to January 2020, the band will embark on a world tour throughout North America, South America, Australia and New Zealand, Africa and India, Asia, and Europe, with plans to record the final show of each tour live and release all songs. A film crew will accompany the band throughout the world tour, and a documentary film is planned. In 2020, the "Beethoven Cycle" performances will be held at Carnegie Hall, London's Wigmore Hall, and other prominent music halls, bringing this grand project to its conclusion. Ebène" brought shock and innovation to the classical music world with his overwhelming performance, easily transcending genre barriers from classical to jazz... "Beethoven" revolutionized the history of music... This project, in which the best of cutting-edge art intersects, will appeal to the hearts of those of us living in the 21st century. What will this project, which is a mixture of the best of cutting-edge art, appeal to the hearts and minds of those of us living in the 21st century? This album is the first of its kind, and was recorded live at the Vienna Konzerthaus and Mozart Saal in June 2019.The first and second of three "Razumovsky" pieces, considered the greatest masterpieces of Beethoven's peak period, this is a major work of great musical richness and bold originality. Ebène's playing alternately blasts tight and loose sounds with a strong pulse and changes expression from bar to bar, while making extensive use of open strings and non-vibrato. The perfect pitch and skillful bowing transcend the idea of precision. Furthermore, the ever-changing expression of the music (the contrast between the bitterness of dissonance and the clean, flowing beauty is superb!) ) is a perfect reproduction of the "innovation" Beethoven was aiming for. This is a performance that may seem a formidable atypical, but it is a masterpiece that conveys the true interest of Beethoven's string quartet! Warner Music Japan
